What other tools leave out for GitLab
Read on 3 October 2026 from each company's public pages.
Datadog
Documents PR Gates as pull request checks on GitHub and Azure DevOps. A GitLab merge request is not on that list.

LinearB
Lists its Essentials plan for GitHub Cloud only. Insights and DORA sit on its Enterprise plan.

Swarmia
Supports GitLab. It describes team working agreements and Slack nudges as its alternative to enforced policy, and on its public pages we found no merge or deployment gates.

Jellyfish and DX
Both read GitLab data for engineering metrics. On their public pages we found no merge request checks or deployment gates.

What Prodgator does on GitLab
- Merge request gates. Prodgator posts a Prodgator policies commit status on the merge request's pipeline. On a GitLab Ultimate project, an admin can add Prodgator as an external status check instead, and it answers that check. Pull request gates.
- Protected environment approvals from Prodgator, made with each approver's own linked GitLab account, and rollback with an audit trail. Approve deployments.
- Pipelines, jobs and deployments in the same list as your other providers, with run reports from your pipelines. Connect GitLab.
What Prodgator does not do on GitLab yet
- Cancel a whole run or re-run its failed jobs from Prodgator. You can re-run one job.
- Code owners rules and merge queue results.
- Sync native security alerts. Upload SARIF from your pipeline instead.
